Omar Ramirez, LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing psychotherapy and immigration biopsychosocial evaluations for adults across New York.

My work is centered on helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and emotional well-being. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and major life transitions, providing a supportive space where clients can explore their experiences and develop practical tools for change.

In addition to psychotherapy, I provide forensic biopsychosocial evaluations for immigration proceedings, working closely with individuals and immigration attorneys to document the psychological impact of trauma, hardship, and family separation. These evaluations may support cases such as asylum, VAWA petitions, U-Visas, T-Visas, and extreme hardship waivers. When requested by counsel, I also provide expert testimony in immigration court regarding the clinical findings of my evaluations.

I am a bilingual clinician providing services in English and Spanish, and much of my work has focused on supporting immigrant and asylum-seeking communities navigating complex legal and personal challenges.

I earned my Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University with International Social Welfare and Streets to Immigrants & Refugees and my Bachelor of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. My clinical experience includes work across outpatient mental health settings, hospital systems, and community-based care supporting individuals with diverse mental health and psychosocial needs.
My goal is to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered as we work together toward meaningful change.
